PURPOSE:To defoam flowing liquid and to provide a uniform-quantity liquid distribution by a method wherein liquid flowed from ring header is being stored in a liquid tank installed at the upper part of the baffle and the liquid, while being stored, is uniformly flowed from a group of holes into the liquid chamber. CONSTITUTION:Liquid is jetted from lower holes 11 of the ring headers 10, is bent inside by the deflector 15, dropped in the upper part 12 of the baffle shoulder and forms a free liquid surface 21. Bubbles are formed when liquid is jetted from the ring headers 10 or when dropped onto the free surface 21. These bubbles float up and disappear while the liquid stays in the upper part 12 of baffle shoulder. Then the liquid 1 flows down through the space 24 between the baffle inner cylinder 16 and outer cylinder 19, flows through holes 14 to the liquid chamber 9, and then flows down. At this time, if required, a barrier plate 23 may be installed to prevent direct projection of the liquid from holes 14 to the liquid chamber. |
