摘要 |
<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently recover S from an S-contg. gas and prevent the sticking of solid matter by introducing the gas leaving an elemental sulfur reduction process into a plurality of sulfur condensers arranged in series to condense the S and using the gas from the latter condenser as a cooling medium for the 1st condenser. CONSTITUTION:A starting material gas contg. SO2 of high concn. is introduced into heat exchanger 2 set at an upper part of reactor 1, and after raising the temp. by heat exchange for an upper coal layer the gas is introduced into a lower coal layer in reactor 1 to generate a gas contg. S, H2S and carbonyl sulfide. This gas is fed to the upper coal layer to convert the H2S and carbonyl sulfide into S by reaction with SO2, and after removing dust with dust collector 3 the S-contg. gas from reactor 1 is supplied to a plurality of sulfur condensers 4, 5 arranged in series and demister 6 to recover the S by condensation. The gas leaving demister 6 is fed to condenser 4 and used as an S-contg. gas cooling medium.</p> |
