NEW MATERIAL:An N-substituted trialkoxybenzylpiperazine derivative shown by the formula I {R is methyl or ethyl; Z is -CH2C(OH)HA [A is a group shown by the formula II, III, or IV (Y is halogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, benzyloxy, or OH)]}. EXAMPLE:A compound shown by the formula I wherein R is methyl and Z is a group shown by the formula II. USE:A remedy against ischemic malum cordis. Having coronary vasodilator action, inhibiting action of cardiomotility, etc. PROCESS:For example, an N-trimethoxybenzylpiperazine shown by the formula V or N-triethoxybenzylpiperazine shown by the formula VI is reacted with a corresponding nuclear substituted phenylglycidyl ether of a halogenated compound optionally in the presence of an deoxidizer in a nonreactive solvent at room temperature to 100 deg.C to give a compound shown by the formula I. |
