PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized lightweight transformer, etc., having a superior efficiency and reducing electric loss by a method wherein the trasnsformer, etc., having confronting magnetic legs of -shaped core being wound around with coils is surrounded with a circumferential case made of a magnetic material closed in the direction of the core. CONSTITUTION:Coils 3a, 3b are wound respectively around confronting magnetic legs of -shaped core 5 of a transformer or a choke coil, and are so connected as the generating flux in the imaginary legs of the both coils 3a, 3b to have the opposit direction to constitute a transformer 7. The transformer 7 is surrounded with a circumferential case 6 made of a magnetic material like silicon steel plate, etc., being closed in the direction of the core 5. It is suitable to provide side plates made of thin plates 10 of steel along the both opening faces of the circumferentail case 6. By this way, the volume of the core is reduced, radiating magnetic flux is guided by the circumferential case and the side plates to reduce leakage flux, and electric loss can be reduced. |
