PURPOSE:To accelerate the curing reaction of a mixture of a polysiloxane compound having a specified average composition and an org. peroxide by impregnating the mixture into a glass fiber product and irradiating it with ultraviolet rays of specified wavelengths. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of an alkenyl group-contg. organopolysiloxane represented by formula I and an org. peroxide is impregnated into or applied to a glass fiber product and irradiated with ultraviolet rays of 100-300nm wavelengths. Thus, the mixture is surely cured from the surface to the interior. The organopolysiloxane containing an alkenyl group represented by formula I may be the compound of formula II. The org. peroxide may be a peroxyketal type org. peroxide such as 1,1- bis(tert-butylperoxy)-3,3,5-trimethylcyclohexane, and it is used by about 0.1- 10wt% to the amount of the siloxane. Various additive such as an inorg. filler, an auxiliary adhesive and an inorg. pigment may be added as required. |
