PURPOSE:To simply regenerate an inferior product into a good product, by cutting off the unit having an inferior part of a long thermal transfer film and bonding the cut-off end part. CONSTITUTION:A long thermal transfer film is formed by providing a large number of units each composed of a transfer layer of hues of yellow Y, magneta M, cyan C and black Bk on a continuous base film. When an inferior part is discovered at a part of the long thermal transfer film, for example, at the central magneta part, the unit containing this inferior part is cut off and black parts Bk1, Bk2 present on both sides are mutually bonded. By mutually bonding the black parts, it is unnecessary to impart alteration to transfer order. It is pref. to perform bonding so as to leave a Bk detection mark. |
