PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal recording sheet excellent in the head matching property with a thermal head and satisfying all of required characteristics, by successively laminating a thermal color forming layer, a barrier layer based on an ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer resin and a protective layer based on a polyester resin and/or polyurethane resin soluble in an org. solvent and containing a releasable additive on a support. CONSTITUTION:A thermal color forming layer 2 is formed on a support 1 and a barrier layer 3 is formed thereon and, further, a protective layer 4 is provided. In this case, an ethylene/vinyl alcohol copolymer resin is dissolved in a solvent mixture of water and alcohol and the resulting solution is applied to the thermal color forming layer to form the barrier layer. It is necessary to use a polyester resin or a polyurethane resin in the total resin of the protective layer in an amount of 50wt.% or more. As a releasable additive, a silicone compound, a fluorine compound, a wax compound and a fine particle can be designated. |
