PURPOSE:To heighten a solvent-resisting property and prevent the fall in adhesive power, by using a reaction-setting adhesive to bond a polyvinyl acetal sponge cylinder, a nonwoven fabric or the like and a shaft or the like together when integrally providing the sponge cylinder on the nonwoven fabric or the like on the shaft or the like. CONSTITUTION:A nonwoven fabric 2 of polyester, nylon, rayon, vinylon or the like is firstly bonded on a shaft 1 or a bushing by an adhesive 3 to make a core to manufacture a polyvinyl acetal sponge roll 5, which is used for the removal or supply of moisture or solvent or for the like. A reaction-setting adhesive, which is made from or contains an epoxy substance, urethane, rubber, phenol or resorcin, is used as the adhesive 3. The core is placed in the center of a mold for manufacturing a polyvinyl acetal sponge cylinder. A liquid material for polyvinyl acetal sponge is poured into the mold. After the reaction of the liquid material is finished, water washing is effected to terminate the production of the polyvinyl acetal sponge roll 5. |
