The screen (1) is of flexible synthetic material of absorbent optical quality. This partially absorbs rays from oncoming headlamps. It covers the visual field except for a triangle of vision (2). The two tops of this correspond with the side angles of view on the the road. Variations of the vision triangle are possible. The screen can be of flexible tinted plexiglass or it can be rolled on a roller (6) which can be moved in steps and locked (7). The screen slides on parallel bars (10).
