PURPOSE:To obtain excellent picture quality by setting the angle of meshed wire against the scanning line to be in specific range thereby reducing the interference pattern produced by meshed electrodes and electron beam sanning lines. CONSTITUTION:There is an angle theta between a mesh wire 11a of meshed electrode 11 and the scanning line 14. When the rotary angle theta of pattern of a scanning line 14 is reduced to 40 deg., 27 deg., 15 deg., the pitch of the interference pattern is reduced and becomes minimum when theta=27 deg.. The pitch of interference pattern produced by the cross point of mesh wires 11a, 11b of the electorde 11 and the scanning line 14 is constructed to be the same with the pitch of an interference pattern produced by the meshed wire 11a and the scanning line 14. Consequently the interference pattern is considerably reduced resulting in quite excellent picture quality. |
