PURPOSE:To obtain sufficient coloring sensitivity and reduce stain, etc. by adding the precursor of an aromatic primary amine developing agent to a photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer contg. a diffusion resistant coupler or other constitutive layer on a support. CONSTITUTION:A compound represented by the formula is added to at least one of photosensitive silver halide emulsion layers each contg. a diffusion resistant coupler or at least one of other constitutive layers on a support to obtain a photographic material. The compound may be salt of carboxylic acid having the aromatic group of p-phenylene-diamine.
