A computer (1) is connected via an interface (2) to determine and control step motor (4,5) operation to position a pipette (6) carriage. The initial retraced position (8) is above a primary recipient (9), into which the pipette is dipped to provide a sample. The pipette is then positioned above a secondary recipient (12) to eject the sample. At a marking station, the primary recipient is identified by a label which can be read by the computer to prepare a prescription card. This permits correlation between primary and secondary sample. Pref. the diluters are fixed w.r.t. the serum distribution, and independent to the pipette carriage, but linked to the carriage by their pipette forming components by a flexible pipe.
|
