The workbench consists of a rolled steel section (3) connected at one end to a pair of fixed legs on castors and at the other end to a pair of collapsible legs, which pivot about a hinge (5). The legs are braced to the bench table (3) by two high pressure gas cylinders. The bench can be collapsed by applying a lateral force on the handles (1) when the bench will move backwards on the castors until the table at the hinged end reaches floor level. With the motorcycle in place the cylinders provide a lifting force to raise the bench to the working position. |
