<p>PURPOSE:To avoid the damage of a tape for the double-speed tape recorder, by switching the rotational speed of the motor to a high level and low level in the quick winding and rewinding modes and when the end area of the tape winding is detected respectively. CONSTITUTION:The rotations are transmitted to the reel drive disks 6 and 7 from the motor shaft 8 of the tape driving motor 1 via the idlers 9 and 13. The rotational speed of the motor 1 is switched to a high and low level via the switches 19 and 20 respectively. In the normal reproduction mode, the speed of the tape is set at 9.5cm/ sec. and 4.75cm/sec. via the above-mentioned change-over switches. With operation of the quick winding or rewinding button, the flip-flop 33 is set to give a high-speed rotation to the motor 1. And the area near the end of the tape is detected by the speed detector 26 or 27 provided near the reel drive disks 2 and 3, and then flip- flop 33 is set to set the rotation of the motor 1 at a low speed. In such way, the damage of the tape can be avoided.</p> |
