The piece of gymnastic appts consists of a base (2) with a concave upper surface. This upper surface receives the matching convex surface of a disc (1) which supports a central vertical pole (3). The pole (3) is thus free to move so that it can be inclined at any angle to the vertical and enable the user to perform a variety of gymnastic exercise. In a developed form of the appts. rollers are fitted between the under-surface of the disc (1) and the support (2) which is provided with hand rails. In addition the support (2) is fitted with castors for ease of transport.
