A holder is for posts displaying traffic signs or instructions which are installed for temporary or seasonal use. It consists of a fixed support bush with profiled outer periphery for anchoring to the lower and upper retaining area of the pole. The upper retaining area is formed by a clamping section using a screwed tensioning element in the radial direction. The lower retaining area is a supporting area for the end of the post. It can be used for posts of different diameter. The lower end of the post and the lower retaining area has a tapered support section to cover the different diameters of the posts.
