The arrangement holds stacked objects in position during transport, particularly bulky tubular frames or the like. It comprises two rods (1,2) with hooked ends (3,4) which are slidably adjustable and lockable (12) relative to one another. The straight end of the first rod (1) may be provided with a lateral projecting strip (8) with a bore through which the other rod (2) passes whilst the straight end of this other rod has a jaw (7) which grips around the first rod (1), the rods being locked relative to one another by a clamp ring (12) surrounding them between the strip and the jaw.
