The weatherproof skin element is used on a steep pitched roof. It protrudes on two or more adjacent sides of a heat-insulating under-part which increases in height in the direction of slope. It is used in a tile or panel for individual laying on the steep sloping roof. The fixing element is assembled from a roughly C-shaped and an S-shaped fishplate. The latter is able to engage both the upward-bent edge strips of the next panel skin below, and the hooking edge of the next above, and its other side is insertable in the insulating part's hook rebate groove. The former is fixable with one side overlapping the latter and the other side fastened to the substructure.
