<p>The winch consists of a manually operated winch drum, a cut-off gear with a spring-loaded pawl and a pick up dogon the handle. There is also a device for the controlled letting down of the load by engaging and disengaging the pawl. For the locking winch, the pawl disengagement is effected by a cam pin and a cam. To re-engage the pawl (3), this has a second cam (21) so at the same plane as the first cam (9), that between the two is an intermediate space for engaging the cam pin so that one or other cams lies in the path of motion of the cam pin (22) according to whether the pawl is open or closed.</p> |
