The arrangement is intended for scraping the outer surface of a roller cylinder (5) which is adjustably carried in a frame (3,6,7) so that it can be moved between two positions (5,5'). A scraper (10) is swivelable about an axis (11) parallel to the roller axis (13,13'). The swivel axis lies in a plane (12) which is perpendicular to the plane through the two end positions (13,13') of the roller axis and midway between these positions. The roller may itself be pivotably supported whilst the swivel axis (11) and the roller pivot (9) lie to the same side of the plane through the roller axis (13,13'). The swivel axis may coincide with the roller pivot.
