<p>Device for adjusting the stroke of a piston in a lifting mechanism, partic. for varying the height of a sleeve board in a garment press, comprises a sleeve surrounding, and clamped to, the piston rod which extends into the cylinder and carries on the end a stop-plate which determines the stroke of the piston. The stroke of the piston is alterable by sliding the sleeve along the piston-rod to a new position, which alters the position of the stop-plate, w.r.t . the piston. The sleeve is affixed to the piston rod by a pneumatic clamp which forms a rigid connection between sleeve and rod, whilst allowing for easy adjustment.</p> |
