<p>PURPOSE:To supply oxygen enrichment air without waste according to the required quantity of oxygen enrichment air by controlling the area of an oxygen enrichment air generating element provided on oxygen enrichment air generating means to be increased or decreased. CONSTITUTION:An oxygen enrichment film 8 adapted to selectively transmit specified gas is disposed in a main body 6 of an oxygen enrichment air generating apparatus 2. As the quantity of oxygen enrichment air required by an internal-combustion engine is small during low-load operation, oxygen enrichment air generated by a standard enrichment film 8-0 is supplied. As the quantity of oxygen enrichment air required by the internal-combustion engine is increased at the time of increasing load such as acceleration or the like, the supply quantity is relatively decreased to cause a pressure difference in an introduction chamber 26. A control unit 68 sequentially opens control valves 66-1-66-4 according to the pressure difference to sequentially increase the oxygen enrichment areas S0-S4, so that the quantity of oxygen enrichment air can be increased. On the other hand, at the time of decreasing load such as decelerating operation, the oxygen enrichment generating means S0-S4 are sequentially decreased according to the pressure difference in the introduction chamber 26, so that the supply quantity can be decreased according to the required quantity of oxygen enrichment air.</p> |
