PURPOSE:To carry out the title galvanizing of high productivity without requiring complex equipment by fitting predetermined plugs to both ends of a steel pipe and removing zinc remanining on the pipe inside by blowing immediately after galvanizing. CONSTITUTION:Plugs 2 made of lead or its alloy are fitted to both ends of steel pipe 1, and the pluged pipe is dipped in a pickling vessel or the like to remove rust. The pipe is then introduced into galvanizing bath 5 provided with floating molten flux 7 at inlet side 11 by means of steel pipe support members 10 of rotating body 9 to galvanize the pipe surface. The galvanized pipe is pulled out of galvanizing vessel 6, and zinc adhered to the pipe inside by dissolution of pulgs 2 in the bath is removed thoroughly by blowing steam or air. |
