<p>PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of the titled sensor by detecting temperature variation as an air flow rate when the temperature of a heated heat- generation resistor drops by heat radiation down to the temperature almost at the start of next generation. CONSTITUTION:When a constant voltage Vc is applied to the resistor 120, the temperature T1 of the resistor 120 rises to the temperature almost at the end of heat generation and when the voltage application is finished, the temperature drops down to the temperature T3 almost at the start of next heat generation. Those temperatures T2 and T3 are detected as the resistance variation of the resistor 120 and compared with each other to detect the flow rate of air which is sucked in one air suction stroke. The temperature T2 almost at the end of the heat generation and the temperature T3 almost at the start of the next heat generation are expressed by equations I and II (where Ta is air suction temperature, C a constant, alpha the heat conduction coefficient of the air, R the resistance of the heat-generation resistor, and I a current flowing through the heat-generation resistor) and alpha is found as a function which does not contain Ta, the amount of sucked air is known.</p> |
