<p>Method and apparatus for heating by means of heat pumping effected in two separate pump stages. In order to reduce the energy losses, air is circulated through a heat-insul-ated space which has a substantially adiabatic relationship to the surroundings thereof and includes the condenser of the first stage, the evaporator of the second stage and the compressors and drive machinery of the two stages. Heat absorbed by the air from the condenser of the first stage, the compressors and the drive machinery is supplied to the evaporator of the second stage. The pump stages have different pressure and temperature gradients and are thermodynamically dimensioned in such a way that the total heat absorbed equals the heat of vaporization of the second stage.</p> |
