PURPOSE:To cool both a stator coil and a rotor coil excellently by installing a fan having the same number of blades as the number of the pawls of pawl core at the end-surface of the pawl core, and providing an air exhausting hole in the housing of the external surface of a stator core. CONSTITUTION:The cooling fan 21 having the blades 21a is installed at one end surface of a pawl core 19. The number of the blades 21a of the cooling fan 21 is the same as the number of the pawls 19a of the pawl core 19. The angle between the end surface of the pawl core and the blades 21a is so selected as to become the angle other than 90 deg.. The stator coil 15a is arranged at the outer periphery of the cooling fan 21, and the hole 13b for exhausting the cooling air is provided through a housing 13 at the location covering the stator coil 15a. In this constitution, the cooling air which has entered through an air inlet hole 14a cools the rotor coil 20. Then the air is exhausted via the cooling fan 21 and the stator coil 15a. Therefore, the cooling effects for both coils can be enhanced. |
