PURPOSE:To obtain a circuit for driving a pulse motor having a fast operating speed inexpensively with small power source capacity by energizing the electromagnetic coils of four-phase pulse motor in which two armature coils are connected with diodes. CONSTITUTION:When a switch 17 is turned on simultaneously when the switch 16 is turned off in the state that the switches 16, 18 are turned on, a current flowing through the coil 2 so far cannot become abruptly zero but tends to continuously flow, and the current accordingly flow through the diode 12 to the electromagnetic coil 4. Instantaneously high voltage is generated at the coils 2, 4 due to the affect of the opposite inductance so that a current will instantaneously flow in the coil 4 due to the high voltage. Accordingly, the current rise characteristic will be remarkably improved, and the rotating operation of the pulse motor can be therefore accelerated. |
