[Also in Division B7] A vehicle side-loading device comprises longitudinally spaced hydraulic jack operated lifting booms 7 and hydraulic jacks 4 attachable by wires 18 to a container 17 to load and unload it on to the ground or another vehicle. Supporting means 11 are provided at each end of the vehicle load platform 2 and comprise an arm 12 horizontally extendable by an hydraulic jack 12a and provided with an outer tube 13 within which is an inner tube 16 which can be extended to engage either the ground or another vehicle or other raised platform with a base-plate 15 to support the lifting boom during operation. |
