<p>A recorder has a wind head 1 and a tube 11 with finger holes made in one piece from a plastics material. The wind head carries a mouthpiece 23 which has a top portion 56 spaced from a recess in the wind head 1 to define a passage from an air inlet of the recorder to an air outlet terminating in a blade-shaped lip 15. A separately formed inverted U-shaped member 25 is located in the passage to define, with the mouthpiece 23 a precisely shaped wind passage to the air outlet and the lip. The end 179 of the wind passage formed by the member 25 is shaped to optimise the flow of air to the outlet. <IMAGE></p> |
