<p>The plastics cap (1) is covered by a rigid cowl (2) of, for example, metal and has a screw thread (3) terminated at the bottom by a ledge (4). A second ledge (6) on the cap is disposed parallel to the first, and arranged so that it clips behind a projection (5) on the container. A groove (7) cut in the outside face of the cap and positioned opposite the second ledge on the inside face reduces the thickness of the cap wall enabling the second ledge to pass over the projection on the neck of the bottle. On the inside of the top of the cap is a cone (8) which wedges into the container neck sealing it hermetically.</p> |
