<p>The fastener (8) is attached to a fixed frame (1) by screws (9) through elongated slots (16) so that it can be adjusted for height. The top of the fastener has a locking nib (12) and locking tongue (14). The latter is narrower at the inside (10), and has notches at its base to relieve shearing stresses. A locking catch (18) is fixed to the moving frame (12), and worked by the steel cable (17). It has a lip projection (19) that sits under the rib (12) and is held there by a tongue (14) when the moving frame has opened by a determined amount.</p> |
