<p>The mixture of antibiotics is new as well as the particular compounds that are isolated from the mixture, the salts and complexes thereof. The mixture of antibiotics is obtained by fermentation of a strain of a microorganism of the Myxococcus fulvus species, of the Myxococcaceae family, that has been isolated from a ground sample. The fermentation is effected in conditions of aerobic immersed cultures, in an aqueous medium containing carbon, nitrogen and mineral salts. Extracts with an antibiotic activity may be obtained from the cells as well as from the culture residue, from which three particular chemical compounds may be isolated that are designated as antibiotics A, B and C. The mixture of antibiotics as well as the particular compounds exhibit a good antibiotic activity against various microorganisms.</p> |
