<p>The device has a hollow carrier for the publicity and/or the information. It is the object of the invention to improve a device of the abovementioned type in such a way that its weight is further reduced and that there is the option of suspending it or erecting it, production and installation being comparatively simple. This is achieved according to the invention by virtue of the fact that, at the top and the bottom, the carrier (1) is closed by means of a cover (2, 3), at least one of which is provided with an opening (3) for the releasable fixing of an insert. The carrier (1) consists of thin- walled material. This has a low weight per unit volume. The covers (2, 3) are manufactured from foamed material and are designed as push-in covers.
