On the left arm (1) of a swimmer, his hand with the thumb (3) and fingers (4, 5, 6, 7) is shown from outside and inside. The hand is provided with a swimming glove (9), a finger glove, which preferably consists of a plastic film (10). The finger and thumb covers of the swimming glove (9) are defined by dividing seams (12). They can be produced by stitching, welding or bonding. Between the finger parts of the swimming glove (9) are finger-length webs (14, 15, 16, 17). For muscularly weak swimmers, especially children, webs are not to be provided between each finger and thumb but, for example, only two, one web between the index finger (4) and the middle finger (5) and the second between the middle finger (5) and the ring finger (6). This glove (9) is secured by means of a closure tape (19) and a push-button (20). This swimming aid enables a swimmer of any age to increase his swimming speed in accordance with his powers. <IMAGE>
