Liquid metal syphon for induction furnaces

Induction heated crucible furnace has lid with filler opening and lid with at right angle a pouring spout and the furnace is provided with an electromagnetic liquid metal pump syphon extending under the melt level. Specif., the syphon is at an angle of 45-135 degrees to the pouring spout and the tilting axis of the furnace is slightly above the inlet of the syphon. Pref. a funnel reaching into the melt is provided in the lid of the furnace. Construction enables melt to be removed from oven without slag inclusion.
