PURPOSE:To adjust the time of ignition in an engine by detecting the negative terminal voltage of an ignition coil and a crank phase angle and measuring the time of ignition by these two factors for turning a switch board casing. CONSTITUTION:An engine 2 is set to a test adjusting device 5, and started to rotate after a crank shaft 22 is connected with a connecting means 544. As points of a switch board are on and off, the change of the voltage at the negative terminal of an ignition coil 57 is detected by a detector 59. On the other hand, the phase angle of the crank shaft is detected by a signal from a pickup 549. On the basis of these two factors, the time of ignition is judged, and if it is not correct, the switch board is turned by a rotation device 5 for adjusting the time of ignition. |
