In a photometric arrangement, in which on the basis of the small back focal distance of the lens there is little space available for the mirror for reflecting the beam outwards onto the photocell (19), this mirror must be designed relatively small, as a result of which when the diaphragm is opened wide a portion of the light passes the mirror and falls directly onto the film without being used for diaphragm control. This results in overexposure, because the photometry is simulated a smaller quantity of light than actually goes through the diaphragm. In order to compensate this, an illuminating device (22) is provided which casts onto the photocell (19) the equivalent of the proportion of light not acquired, and whose luminous intensity is regulated by scanning an electrical resistance track (21) in a manner coupled to the camera diaphragm (2). <IMAGE>
