PURPOSE:To prevent flaking of ion-exchanging film out of electrodes and to prevent fuel from contacting the electrodes by covering the side in contact with electrolyte for electrodes which have catarlyst electrodeposited or coated. CONSTITUTION:An air electrode 1 and a fuel electrode 2 have fuel put in an outer frame 3 of a fuel cell, which are dipped in electrolyte 4 and faced opposite to each other in parallel. Catalyst 5 is coated, deposited under pressure or electrodeposited on a platinum net 6, and the side which comes in contact with the electrolyte 4 has a stratum 7 of ion-exchange resin particle covered on the electrode surfaces. Ion- exchange resin particle 7' comes into contact with the catalyst 5, and combines with the air electrode reciprocally by a bonding agent 8, so that fuel in the electrolyte can be prevented from being brought into contact with the catalyst 5. |
