Iron corrosion inhibition - with aq. system contg. alkanolamine salt(s) of alkenyl succinic acid(s)

Fe and Fe-contg alloy corrosion is inhibited by contact with an aq. system contg mono-, di- and/or tri-2-4C alkanolamine salts (I) of 8-9C alkenyl succinic acids. The inhibitors are water-soluble, non-foaming, and less toxic than conventional water-soluble salts of e.g. sulphonamido-carboxylic acids.
