<p>The connection between a mast (16) and a windsurfing board includes a T-section connecting member (2) along which can slide a base block (1) which supports a cylindrical adaptor (6) which fits inside the tubular mast. Holding the adaptor and base block together is a flexible rubber connector (12) with a rounded head (13) retained inside a hollow under the block. Its upper end has a pin (14) through it, projecting outwards to fit inside a hollow inside the adaptor. The base block has a circular rim (4) projecting upwards from its top surface, with a beaded edge (5) which fits inside a hollow (8) around the enlarged base (7) of the adaptor, to allow the mast to tilt. A second design has a ball joint held together by a resilient cord looped around a sliding block with locating teeth.</p> |
