<p>Cooling system for the inside of coffins, esp. for use in hot countries in summer and when a burial is delayed for any reason, consists of a trestle for the coffin and a motor driven compressor unit with condenser, expansion valve and evaporator below the trestle. A twin hose blows cool air through a perforated distributor tube in the coffin and the second hose which is also led inside through the partly lifted coffin lid recirculates the air. This appeals to many relatives more than the freezers of mortuaries. It eliminates any health hazard by the air leaving a coffin and cuts out any unpleasant smell. It acts instantly and allows a ready control of the inside temp. without complication by condensate formation.</p> |
