<p>The multi-chamber distributor, partic. for floor heating, has feed and return chambers of roughly the same cross-section, each with unions for feed and return main pipes and for individual pipes to and from heaters etc. The distributor (1) comprises a one-piece extruded hollow box-section (2), the feed chamber (4) being formed by a central wall (3) of curved cross-section in it, extending through approx. 270 deg. and joined by ribs (6,7) to the centres of adjacent walls (8,9) of the box-section. The return chamber is (5) between the outside of this curved wall and the opposite wall of the box-section. The unions for the pipes (14,15) to and from the individual heaters are in a box-section wall (8) forming part of both the feed and return chambers, while that for the return main pipe (10) is in the opposite wall to this one. The free ends of the box-section are closed by covers, one containing the union for the feed main pipe.</p> |
