The curtain tape (1) for sewing to the edges of curtains enables the curtain to be pleated and hung on suitable holders. A pair of pulley threads (2) along the edges of the tape has a looped, double-layered and loosely superimposed sections of the tape between them. The outer layer (5) of the loose tape sections (5,6) has two elongated slots (8) in, in the lengthwise direction of the tape, for a curtain rod to be threaded through. The pair of threads (2) is enclosed (4) in a guide.
