PURPOSE:To eliminate occurrence of the noise band to the reproduced picture, by giving a displacement to the mechanical position of the video head for scanning in the reproduction for the recording track on the magnetic tape rolled onto the tape drum. CONSTITUTION:The following means are provided: the control reproducing means 17 which reproducces the control signal; the control signal dividing means which divides the intervals of the control signals regardless of the travelling velocity of the magnetic tape 23 to obtain the secondary control signal; and the phase detecting means which detects the rotary phase of the rotary magnetic head 4 for reproduction. An operation is given to the information obtained through these means to calculate through the arithmetic means 33 the position of the track to the head 4. Then the output signal of the means 33 is applied to the electro- mechanical converters 21 and 22, and thus the reproducing rotary magnetic head 4 scans on the track.
