Sound attenuating system for bank of arc furnaces - uses sound reflectors or attenuators around each furnace and above crane in roof

The system uses vertical sound reflectors and/or sound attenuating components enclosing each furnace. The reflectors-attenuators are partly movable and have a height that allows the crane to pass over them. A sound attenuating screen is anchored above the crane system in the roof of the shed containing the furnaces. The middle piece of the screen has the shape of a closeo cover with only one outlet hole arranged so that in its low position it forms a capsule with the cage. The fixed and moving components are shaped so that they can be stacked to save space.
