Inside an outer casing is a horizontal plate (8) dividing the plant into two zones for contaminated- and clean- air. In plate (8) are several bars (13) which can be driven vertically and have radial arms (12). Each arm (12) ends in a holder (11) for a filter cartridge (10); and cartridges (10) form a circular row round each bar (13). Arms (12) are mounted on a hub which can rotate on a bar (13). When bars (13) are raised, cartridges (10) are pressed against lids (8.1) located in circles in plate (8); and each lid (8.1) has a concentric tube for injecting compressed air employed to clean the cartridges.
