PURPOSE:To obtain the carbon dioxide gas capable of being used in composite lancing by adding water vapor to an exhaust gas from a metal refining furnace or a smelting furnace to carry out the CO conversion. CONSTITUTION:The exhaust gas of a converter 1 generated by the top blowing of oxygen from a lance 1-a is collected in a hood 2 and once received in a gas holder 4 after the dust therein is removed by a dust collecting apparatus 3. Subsequently, the vapor from a vapor generator 6 is added in a CO conversion apparatus 5 to increase the concn. of CO2. The exhaust gas of which the CO2 concn. is increased is recovered as the CO2 gas in a CO2 separation apparatus 7 and received in a CO2 gas holder 8. The CO2 gas of the CO2 gas holder 8 is utilized properly as the gas for the composite lancing, for example, as a bottom blowing gas from a nozzle 1-b of the converter 1. Moreover, the exhaust gas from which CO2 gas is separated is introduced into an H2 separation apparatus 9 to recover H2 and this H2 is received in an H2 holder 10 and utilized in a fuel or the like. |
