The toy comprises a propeller blade fixed by a steel nail spindle to a wooden notched rod which is then rubbed by a rubbing stick to produce vibrations used to set the blade in motion. The notches in the wooden rod may be 3mm deep and 5mm wide. They may be variously spaced at 10mm and 15mm apart. There is a wide notch at the end of the rod remote from the propeller blade which is 20mm wide. The notched rod is 250mm long and the rubbing stick is 200mm long. The notched rod may be square and the rubbing stick cylindrical.
