<p>The hydraulic ram exerts pull and thrust forces, or one of these forces only. Its piston rod (2) is pre-stressed by a medium under pressure, and which is contained in an internal chamber (6). A spring component (3) can be accommodated in the chamber, while the rod can have a venting valve connected to the latter, also a non-return valve (7), so that the medium can only be delivered into and not discharged from the chamber. Pressure in the latter can be independent of the operating pressure.</p> |
