Transportable crane with folding boom - uses cables controlling load carriage to fold boom for transport

The transportable crane has a telescopic mast and a folding boom. The mechanism to fold the boom for transport makes use of the cable and pulleys which control the motion of the load carriage. This is achieved by first folding the inner section of the boom downwards whilst keeping the outer section in a horizontal attitude. The cable is then detached from the trolley and fixed to the boom. The winding drums are operated and cause the outer section of the boom to fold upwards until it is aligned parallel with the inner section.
